| Department of Mathematics, GSS College was the first department to organize the inaugural function of Rani Channamma University Mathematics Society. (RCUMS) in the year 2011. This Society came into existence due to the tenacious and invaluable efforts made by Dr. K.S.Naik (then HOD of this department), Prof. A.M. Lingadahalli (HOD, maths dept., Anjuman degree college, Bijapur) and many senior members of Mathematics fraternity. After all the teachers of maths departments were made members, Dr. K.S. Naik was unanimously elected as first President and Prof. Nagasuresh M.S. as Joint Secretary. The RCUMS rendered help in formation of the syllabus and setting of question bank for B. Sc. I, II and III as and when the syllabus changed.
