RANGERS AND ROVERS UNIT
Unit Profile
All these years Govindram Seksaria Science College, Belagavi had the NCC and NSS units. But recently it was thought to introduce Rovers and Rangers unit also to further enhance the activities towards the society. Accordingly the Rovers and Rangers unit of the college was constituted in the academic year 2020-21 in guidance of the former Principal Dr. Nagaraja D. Hegde. The Rovers unit is fittingly named as Rayanna Rovers unit and similarly the Rangers unit is named after the great Rani Channamma as Channamma Rangers unit. Mr. Ravikumar Kademani, Lecturer, Department of Physics leads the Rayanna Rovers unit and Mrs. Charushila Balikai, Lecturer, Depatment of Chemistry leads the Channamma Rangers unit.
Objectives
- • Development of younger generation in a better physical, intellectual and spiritual ways.
- • Making the youth responsible citizens.
- • Contribute to the local, national and international societies.

Together the Rayanna Rovers and Channamma Rangers unit consists of 48 students, out of which 24 are Rovers and another 24 are Rangers.
