Ongoing Projects – Assessment of Avian diversity of Belgaum district.
Department is working on the self funded project in collaboration with the well known birders in the region.

Outreach brochure on lateritic plateaus, is published in collaboration with PG Dept. of Botany, to make people aware about the important herbaceous plants of the lateritic plateaus. PICS
– M.Sc. Environmental Science COURSE
- Candidates who have passed the three year Bachelor’s degree regular / Hon’s examination of Rani Chanamma University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto, with the respective subject (Bachelor degree in subjects such as Chemistry/Physics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Botany/Zoology/ Food Technology/ Home Science/ Food Science and Nutrition/ Food Science and Quality Control/ Clinical Nutrition/ Statistics, Geology, Life Sciences, Environment Sciences, Computer science, Fisheries, Marine science, Marine Biology, Horticulture, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Health Sciences or any branch of Engineering (BE – Civil engineering, Architecture, Environment etc.) and B. Tech Degree in Biotechnology / Agricultural Engineering) OR MBBS /Ayurvedic Medical sciences cognate subject or B.Sc., Cognate subject in any Biological science) as optional / major / special / main subject, are eligible for admission to the programme, provided they have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects and 50% (45% for SC/ST/Category I candidates) marks in the cognate subject.
- All the candidates should have Biology /Geology/Chemistry as one of the General subject at the 10+2 level. Admission shall be as per Government of Karnataka reservation policy and the directions issued in this regard from time to time.
